The Division 2 Discounted Now Through June 24

Ubisoft announced today that its latest online action RPG, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, will be discounted up to 40 percent off on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and up to 33 percent off on PC storefronts now until June 24. The sale applies to standard editions of the game on consoles.

Released back in March, The Division 2 transports agents to Washington D.C. so that they may contain a smallpox epidemic and restore the nation’s capital to its former glory. Our review lauded the game for the impressive amount of content it had to offer and its vastly improved PVP mode, but criticized it for its pop-in textures and bizarre voice acting. Other publications have praised the title for its worthwhile endgame and addictive looter shooter gameplay.

The Division 2 was the best-selling game during its launch week in the U.K. and sold approximately 63,817 physical PlayStation 4 units during its launch week in Japan. While the title has failed to met Ubisoft’s expectations so far, this month’s sale may help bolster its profitability this quarter.

As far as Ubisoft is concerned, the company is poised to host its E3 showcase this Monday, June 10, at 1 P.M. PDT. Watch Dogs Legion is set to be formally unveiled alongside new information regarding Ghost Recon Breakpoint. For Honor, Rainbox Six, The Division 2, and Just Dance may receive updates and a few unannounced AAA games may be revealed, as the publisher did say that it plans on releasing three big budget titles by March 2020. Here’s hoping that one of them is a Splinter Cell sequel.
