Demon’s Souls Remake Developers Show the Character Creator and Photo Mode

Sony and Bluepoint Games showed how the character creator and photo mode are built for Demon’s Souls on PS5, talked about their main features and provided first screenshots. Things have certainly gotten more interesting since the original game.

On PlayStation.Blog, Demon’s Souls developers, gave a first look at the game’s character creator and photo mode. For the character creator, the developers kept all the settings, which were in the original game on PS3 but added a number of new ones. According to them, all possible combinations reach 16 million. For example, you can not only add to your character tattoos and scars but choose separately what his teeth would look like.

In the photo mode, various options to configure the image would be available. Among other things, you can hide the character itself or individual details of his equipment, for example, his weapon or helmet, choose his facial expression or pose, and also adjust the camera position, depth of field or choose a filter.

The developers didn’t mention exactly how much picture filters would be in the game but noted that they could each be applied during the gameplay by the settings. Also included are the monochrome and the “classic” one, which makes the brightness, contrast and the image’s color scheme nearer to those that were in Demon’s Souls on PlayStation 3. 

Demon’s Souls will be released on the 12th of November on PS5.
