The Demon Slayer game will allow players to relive the events of the anime, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba, through the monster-slashing action game developed by CyberConnect2. Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Kepputan will also have a versus mode, featuring online and offline multiplayer battles between characters from the anime. Behind well-received titles like Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm series, CyberConnect2 being at the helm bodes well for Demon Slayer fans.

Included in the new announcement from the game’s official Twitter account, the website is now showing off some beautiful screenshots, presenting some of the characters that weren’t seen in March 2020’s announcement trailer, along with some action shots.
Although no exact date has been given yet, Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Kepputanย will be coming out sometime in 2021 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam. This will be the first full game dedicated to the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime franchise.
Since the PS4 version should be playable PS5 without any issues, declaring a dedicated PS5 version might imply that the Demon Slayer game might sport graphical and feature enhancements on the newest Sony console, just like what’s been recently announced for Sega’s Judgment. No upgrades have been announced for the Xbox Series X or S either. This could mean heightened frame rates and resolutions would come through Xbox Smart Delivery, or current-gen upgrades may be exclusive to the Sony platform.ย
