It was a ruthless battle for the top spot of the best selling games in April, but one notable franchise gripped the spotlight.
With Warner Bros. sitting pretty at the top, the rest of the physical and digital sales have been dominantly split between Sony, Nintendo, Activision and Take 2. The latter has a surprising jump in rank from the previous month with the seemingly immovable Grand Theft Auto V, going from 8th to 6th.

Although no exact sales figures have been published, Mortal Kombat 11 has also unexpectedly achieved rank #2 in YTD (Year To Date) sales, now being only behind Kingdom Hearts III. Considering Mortal Kombat 11 was released on April 23rd, that’s an amazing achievement.
