Battlefield 1 throws the player into the dark and blood-soaked trenches of World War 1

Battlefield 1 – £27.99 (49% off)

The latest addition to the Battlefield franchise has been extremely well received, garnering critical acclaim from both players and reviewers alike. Battlefield 1 throws the modern shooter trope out of the window as the player is thrust back into the battlefields of World War 1. Whether fighting through the mountains of Italy or the trenches of Northern France, this game truly captures the horror of World War 1 in one of the most nail-biting, edge of the seat gameplay experiences in recent memory. At the low price of £27,99, this is a steal for one of the best games of 2016.

Uncharted 4 is the final and perhaps most impressive offering from the franchise

Uncharted 4 – £22.99 (48% off)

Naughty Dog make amazing games, there is no doubt about it, but Uncharted 4 is one of the most impressive jewels in their already glimmering crown. After selling over 2.7 million units in its first week alone, the game went on to become revered by the fans, as well as winning several awards. This is the final game in the Uncharted series, and features now-retired protagonist Nathan Drake teaming up with his brother for one final score; the treasure of a long-dead pirate. This game is an absolute wonder to play, and comes with an under-rated but intensely fun multiplayer too. At almost half price, you'd be a fool to pass up this game.

Titanfall 2 improves on the already successful original, combining infantry gameplay with hulking Titan-based vehicle combat

Titanfall 2 – £29.99 (45% off)

Titanfall 1 was good, but it was also criminally underrated, and died off quickly in the face of stern opposition. Now that the sequel has rolled around, history sure has not repeated itself. The futuristic First Person Shooter features a campaign of epic proportions and a fast-paced multiplayer that fuses Infantry gameplay with Titans, massive mechs that leave a trail of death and destruction in their wake. This game has been praised for its fresh take on the now stale futuristic-shooter genre, and is a must have for any FPS fan at almost half price.

Ratchet & Clank reboots the insanely fun and devilishly funny platformer from the golden days of the Playstation

Ratchet & Clank – £15.99 (46% off)

If you had the joy of spending your free time as a child on the Playstation 2, chances are you've encountered the absolute gem that was the Ratchet & Clank series. Combining stellar platformer combat with multi-layered comedy and an absolutely ridiculous amount of weapons and upgrades, the series was a shining light amongst the golden age of gaming on the Playstation 2, with Ratchet & Clank 3 remaining near the top of my personal all-time favourite list.

Two generations of gaming later, and the series has been rebooted on the Playstation 4, and my oh my is it good. This game takes the already wonderful elements of the original games and gives it a modern polish, making playing this game not only a nostalgia trip, but an absolute pleasure. Painfully enjoyable and hilariously self-aware, this is a must-have for any fan of the original games.

Bioshock: The Collection – £29.99 (33% off)

The Bioshock franchise is perhaps one of the most impressive ones ever conceived. With thrilling gameplay driven by a dark and involving story, all three of the games are a masterpiece in their own right.
