Warframe’s annual TennoCon was a bit earlier today, and if you read here a few days ago, we talked about rewards you could obtain from watching the live stream, known as TennoLive. Well, today’s brought lots of new information and content available to players that are coming very soon. We’re going to break down some of the most important content shown at the stream today, starting with The Duviri Paradox.
(Author’s Note: This article will contain spoilers of characters for The New War quest, which was released back in December 2021.)
This expansion is the next big step in Warframe’s story, coming after the Angels of the Zariman update earlier in the year. Players will be able to take control of their own Kaithe, a horse-like companion as they explore Duviri, the new locale, and watch the story unfold, including returning character The Drifter. The Drifter is your Operator from another reality and is featured in the introduction of The Duviri Paradox’s opening mission.

Duviri is a world trapped in a time loop, and it’s your job to break it and explore the open-world locale.
The player will see Duviri in-game, and the opening mission tasks you with stealing a Kaithe and escaping as The Drifter. Dominus Thrax, the ruler of this world, controls this monochromatic world, and you’re to break the loop (shown in color) and figure out what’s actually going on. You can expect to see The Duviri Paradox when it releases this Winter in Warframe. A note is that you do not need to complete The New War to access this quest.
Secondly, this update will bring Khora Prime to the game. Khora Prime is the game’s 36th playable Prime Warframe, and her components and blueprints will be coming to the game in the form of Relics. Relics can be opened through Void Fissures, which are missions you can complete to obtain Prime components. TennoCon 2022 also announced that the Khora Prime update will release with two new Prime weapons, Hystrix Prime and the Dual Keres Prime. Khora Prime Access is available now, which is a bundle that includes the following:
- Khora Prime (playable Warframe)
-
- Venari Prime (Khora Prime’s loyal companion)
-
- Hystrix Prime, which is a secondary weapon that allows you to change its damage type at will
- Dual Keres Prime, which is a dual-wield melee weapon
- Platinum (in-game currency)
- an Affinity Booster
- a Resource Booster
- and two cosmetics for Khora Prime:
-
- a Khora Prime alternate helmet
- a Khora Prime Syandana
-
A note is that the currently-available Prime Access bundle, Garuda Prime, will be going away when Khora Prime Access is added to the in-game store, so, if you wanted to buy Garuda Prime Access (and all of its items), and you haven’t yet, you’re unfortunately out of luck.
Third of all, Nightwave, the game’s internal rewards track that acts a bit like a battle pass, is being updated, with Nora’s Mix Vol.2 being announced at TennoCon 2022 today. Some of the game’s new cosmetics include Operator cosmetics, which you can see below. Nora’s Mix Vol.2 will be released soon, though, and its reward track will release alongside Vol.2.
More information included in the live stream covers an update on crossplay, cross-save, and mobile. That comes in the form of a verbal update, which is that community testing for crossplay will indeed be happening soon. This will enable players of all platforms to be able to group up and play; a concrete date was not disclosed, however. When the stress tests conclude, this will pave the road for cross-save to release afterward, and then finally, mobile versions could come thereafter.
A brief sidenote is that Titania’s Dornann Set, a new cosmetic set for Titania and Titania Prime, was also announced, with an appearance render that you can see below. This bundle also includes skins for her weapons, Dex Pixia and Diwata, and is available to purchase right now in the Marketplace, found in-game on your Orbiter.
Next up, TennoCon 2022 included an announcement for Veilbreaker, which is new additional content for Warframe. Players can actually take control of Kahl, a Grineer Lancer featured in last year’s The New War expansion during Veilbreaker. This would be the second time players can control him, as he’s playable partway through The New War quest. There isn’t a release date available yet for Veilbreaker, but it’s projected to release before The Duviri Paradox releases. You can watch a new trailer below.
An addendum to the Veilbreaker announcement is that Styanax is a short film that Digital Extremes will be released closer to the launch of this expansion. This name also doubles as the name of the game’s 50th unique Warframe (including Primed variants, this would be the 87th Warframe). A release date for Styanax was not disclosed, but they could probably release alongside the Veilbreaker update (below video source: GamersPrey on YouTube).
Finally, Digital Extremes announced that they would also be working on a brand-new title, called Soulframe, and concluded TennoCon 2022 with this announcement. It’s more of a cinematic trailer than anything, with a very small snippet of gameplay. You can watch Soulframe‘s announcement trailer below (credit: GameSpot on YouTube).
Warframe is available to download on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and its own download client.
Soulframe‘s release date is currently TBA.
