Telltale’s The Walking Dead May Still Get Finished

After reports last week revealed that Telltale Games was beginning to seize operations, many fans presumed that they would not see the end of Clementine's story in The Walking Dead, that began way back in 2012. Albeit nothing explicitly confirmed, a tweet from Telltale Games has brought some hope to this sorrowful situation.

Telltale's The Walking Dead May Still Get Finished
In the tweet, Telltale Games said “Multiple potential partners have stepped forward to express interest in helping to see The Final Season through to completion. While we can’t make any promises today, we are actively working towards a solution that will allow episodes 3 and 4 to be completed and released in some form.” The news this week looks better for the fan-favourite The Walking Dead, after last week Clementine’s voice actor, Melissa Hutchison, suggested that the game that put Telltale on the map, would not be finished.

However, it should come as no surprise that other studios are looking to get their hands on Telltale’s flagship title, after the studio’s unexpected collapse last week. Of course, there is no denying that it would be fantastic to see the final season of the game come to its conclusion, but the lack of severance pay for workers in the studio most definitely seems to overshadow this positive news.
