Tekken 8: All Confirmed Characters So Far

Tekken 8 is the latest installment of the Tekken franchise, and Bandai Namco has released information about some of its characters. Slated to release in 2024, Tekken 8 currently has 12 playable characters in its roster, including the iconic Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, and Jun Kazama, who has finally returned to the main series after years of absences.

Get Ready For The Next Battle! Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed Tekken 8 starting last year, with multiple teasers about the main story which will involve Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima as its two main characters. 

Tekken 8 introduces new gameplay mechanics such as the Heat System, which adds new attacking avenues and combos that the players can utilize. Also, Tekken 8 has vastly improved graphical aspects thanks to Unreal Engine 5 which the game uses.

While fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Tekken 8, Bandai Namco has yet to announce a firm launch date, so we must wait for Tekken’s major tournaments within the Tekken World Tour 2023 calendar to get further information.

Character Overviews

Currently, Bandai Namco Entertainment has showcased 12 playable characters for Tekken 8’s early alpha build. As per the latest Evo Japan 2023, returning characters Leroy Smith and Asuka Kazama have joined the roster in this installment.

Players and fans can rest assured that these characters will not be the end of it, as the Tekken franchise’s base games usually bring an extensive roster with them. Tekken 7, for instance, has 36 characters in its base roster. 

Aside from those characters, with the recent release date announcement, there are still many characters that are yet to arrive in Tekken 8, with a total of 32 base game characters, 4 less characters compared to Tekken 7.

Tekken 8 will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
