Koei Tecmo had long wanted to unify services from its different businesses. The release of Koei Tecmo ID is the way to achieve it. Users can register and get their account to use when shopping at Koei Tecmo Spot Online Shop and Gust Shop. But that’s just the beginning, on an unspecified date there will be more uses for the Koei Tecmo ID.
Something that the company that created Dynasty Warriors and is responsible for games like Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes or Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy wanted to specify is that those who have a MyGustID account don’t have to worry.
The new Koei Tecmo ID system is ready for an existing Gust user service account to be linked. That makes sense as long time ago, Gust was an independent company. Koei Tecmo bought it in 2011 and fully absorbed it in 2014. However, the account connection process has taken a considerable amount of time.
When a link is made between the new Koei Tecmo ID and the classic MyGustID, users transfer all their personal data, coupons or points that they have stored. Purchase history is also kept, which could have benefits in the future.
What is possible to do with a Koei Tecmo ID? As we say, not much at the moment. There is the possibility of shopping at Koei Tecmo Spot Online Shop, an online store that sells products related to the company’s brands. Not only that, but in Tokyo, exactly at the Parco store in the Shibuya area, it is possible to visit a physical Koei Tecmo store on the sixth floor. Special products are sold there and events are held. With a Koei Tecmo ID, users can benefit from different promotions.
It is also possible to buy in the Gust Shop, which has items from the games of this company, such as the Atelier franchise. In addition, in this store many products that are limited and exclusive edition are usually put up for sale.
The Tokyo Game Show 2022, which will be held in a few weeks, will be a good time for Koei Tecmo to perhaps offer some special proposal to those who have a Koei Tecmo ID. The company prepares its presence at the event with three games: Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Hadou for mobile and a mysterious new Gust game not yet announced.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is the new game from Team Ninja, creators of Ninja Gaiden who, in this case, set the story at the time of the Three Kingdoms in China. They do it with a lot of wild action, demons, powers, mythology and a powerful martial arts presence. The first playable demo will be presented at the Koei Tecmo stand at the Tokyo Game Show, since, until now, it has never been publicly exposed. An intense and very hard demo is expected, since whoever finishes it within the time will win a T-shirt. For all those who try it, there will be a consolation prize: a badge.
