Bandai Namco released a bunch of stunning new screenshots for Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization wich will be released for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita on October 27th in Japan, and November 8th for North America and Europe.
In this batch of screenshots, we see the NPC dark elf Kizmel. We also get a bit of backstory this time, that definitely fits the theme of NPCs that has been hinted at until now. The game inside the game, called Sword Art: Origin, seems to have a new "Death Game" in wich your NPC friends can actually die.
In the normal game, when an NPC dies, it returns to you after a while, but in Sword Art: Origin not only do they appear to have unique personalities, but when they die they don’t come back. They get instead replaced by a completely new NPC!
We also get a look at the Sword Skill Connect feature, that allows players to shorten the cooldown between skills, new quests, a new boss, and a look at the Abyss of the Priestess DLC mission.
Last, but not least, the game will get a large update by the end of the year, introducing new characters from Lost Song: Seven and Rain. It will come with new maps, story chapters and a PvP feature, adding twenty hours of story content.
