The Subnautica double pack has launched for the Nintendo Switch as the sequel, Subnautica: Below Zero leaves early access behind. Alongside its launch, both games are also now available on the Switch. While they can be bought separately in the eShop, if you buy the physical edition, you get both games as a double pack. The Subnautica double pack is currently $66.67 at the Amazon link* above.
With Subnautica: Below Zero now out of early access, Unknown Worlds Entertainment has two full aquatic adventure games now. They both pit players against a dangerous natural world filled with ferocious creatures that will gladly end your existence! Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero are both $29.99 on Steam.
The Subnautica: Below Zero v1.0 update unlocked the endgame for all of its players this week. With it, the developers included another round of polish for the game and a plethora of additional fixes. With the game leaving early access, it also launched globally on Xbox, PlayStation, and of course, the Nintendo Switch. Players on the Switch can grab and enjoy both games in one go, thanks to the new Subnautica double pack (physical edition only).
In the original Subnautica, players found themselves crash-landed on an alien world called Planet 4546B. There they were forced to collect resources from a mostly aquatic world, craft equipment, build bases above or below water, and most importantly, survive. The water-logged world of Subnautica extends surprisingly deep beneath the rolling waves, terrifyingly far from the safety of the sunlit surface.
Subnautica: Below Zero takes place two years after the events of the first game. Players return to Planet 4546B once more to unveil a deadly cover-up. Abandoned research stations scattered around the region now lay silent. As the game’s name implies, players will face new arctic environments as they scavenge materials, craft equipment and bases, and survive. Resisting your newest enemy, the cold, is crucial if you are to survive long enough to discover the secrets of the cover-up.
