Super Castlevania IV Soundtrack Gets a Vinyl Release
With the highly anticipated Netflix series just around the corner, a limited release of Super Castlevania IV vinyls will go on sale on Wednesday, June 20th. There will be two LP's with music done by Konami Kukeiha Club and original artwork courtesy of Jenolab. Mondo has been releasing a series of Castlevania soundtracks in honor of the historic series and upcoming series on Netflix.
Super Castlevania IV is one of the most beloved titles in the long-running series catalog and was first released on the SNES in 1991. It was the first 16-bit Castlevania game featuring the legendary vampire hunter Simon Belmont; many fans think this game boasts the best soundtrack of the entire series and the music had a huge boost due to the fancy SNES sound chip:

The Super Nintendo’s sound chip brought the franchise into the world of synth for the first time. It allowed Konami’s composers to use audio samples to achieve an instrumentation previously unattainable on earlier systems. From the moment SUPER CASTLEVANIA IV begins you can hear the difference, with synthesized samples of organs and chiming bells, that set a more cinematic tone for Simon’s quest to fell the devil’s castle.

The release will feature an option for two sets of double vinyls with their own art designs and color schemes. They both go on sale for only $30 USD. Don't delay too long as one of these sets has a limited print of 1,000 copies.

You can buy your copy on  Mondo's website.
