The standalone sequel to the popular RPG game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic will soon be released on Nintendo Switch. Originally released on Xbox, PC, Mac, Android and iOS as early as 2004, the re-release of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords was announced at the Star Wars Celebration 2022.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords will release on Nintendo Switch on June 8, 2022 and is currently available for pre-order. You can also purchase the re-releases of both KOTOR and its sequel as a bundle. The Sith Lords Restored Content DLC will also be made available for the game for free post-launch. This started off as a mod created by fans for the original KOTOR II, which fixed technical issues with the game and added in content that had been cut. It was highly praised and even endorsed by developer and publisher Aspyr Media, Inc.
Exile, while you were gone, the Sith have hunted us to the edge of extinction. Will you help us defend the Old Republic, or lead it to destruction?

In Knights of the Old Republic II, the story is set 4,000 years before Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace and 5 years after the original KOTOR. The Sith are on the rise and looking to destroy the Old Republic. It’s up to the remaining Jedi to stop them.
As the player, you control your own destiny by making important decisions throughout the story. As a Jedi, you can choose the light side and save the galaxy, or go to the dark side and seek to destroy it. You can choose from 3 classes of Jedi, each with their own unique Force powers and customization options. You also get to command a party of diverse crew mates. With the re-release on the Nintendo Switch, KOTOR II will have resolution updates and performance optimization for the best experience for new and old players.
The re-release of Knights of the Old Republic II was developed by Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games. Aspyr is the company behind other Star Wars re-releases such as the first Knights of the Old Republic, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, and The Force Unleashed. Aspyr are currently working on a remake of the original Knights of the Old Republic.
