Star Wars: Battlefront II Fans Petition for Its Support

Despite fighting through controversy, Battlefront II was short-lived as it will no longer get new content. Fans have started a petition to continue support for the game in the hopes that DICE will allow Star Wars Battlefront II to have its time in the spotlight. Although negatively viewed at first, the game was able to enjoy a short amount of popularity with its loyal fanbase.

Star Wars: Battlefront II Fans Petition for Its SupportFollowing DICE’s recent decision to discontinue support and updates for the game, fans have created a Change.org petition to keep Star Wars: Battlefront II alive. Despite a rocky start with controversy over the game’s microtransactions, Star Wars Battlefront II earned a loyal fanbase through game improvements throughout the years. The Battlefront II petition to continue the game’s support already has over 50,000 signatures in just over a week. Petitioners who sign are willing to pay for any new DLCs that would help support the game, as stated in the petition’s statement.

Star Wars: Battlefront II is one of the greatest video game redemption stories of all time. From a disastrous launch to a complete success, the transformation of the game is inspiring to all Star Wars fans and gamers alike.” – Change.org petition

Star Wars: Battlefront II still sees an incredibly active playerbase. Only being around for three years, the decision to pull support for the game seems a bit quick. But developers have stated that they are doing this to focus on the upcoming Battlefield 6 game. Despite the popularity of the petition, it is unlikely that DICE will budge on their decision to no longer release new content for the game. The best outcome to hope for is that this means there might be a Battlefront III in the future.
