Finally, it has arrived. Sonic Origins has an official trailer, release date and information regarding its content upon release. After almost a year of waiting without any proper news, patience has paid off. Play the iconic original games remastered as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles or even as a seamless narrative in the Story Mode fit with all-new cutscenes. This is one remaster you won’t want to miss out on.
CLASSIC OR ANNIVERSARY?
Whether you’re an old fan with a sense of nostalgia, a new one that wants to play in a more Mania-esque mode or somewhere in between, there’s a mode for you. Classic Mode allows you to play through the original games as they were first intended. With the original resolution and limited lives, you’ll feel the memories of playing them for the first time.
In Anniversary Mode, indulge in the new coat of paint applied to the collection; polished visuals and revamped resolution fit for modern-day screens. This mode also includes unlimited lives and an all-new coins collection mechanic as seen in the Sonic Origins trailer. It sounds like this will be the main mode of the game.
NEW REWARDS
Speed through levels with a new goal in mind with missions and rewards. Complete various tasks in order to earn coins to unlock brand new content, challenges, and Special Stages in the Museum. This will no doubt give players an incentive to play the collection over and over again, finding new ways to enjoy the games. Adding more replay value is something that many fans will be happy to see in these games.
MULTIPLE DIGITAL VERSIONS
As well as all of the above, the game will have even more bonus content depending on which version you buy. From the Standard Edition to the Digital Deluxe Edition, there are quite a few versions all with their different bonuses. These extras include bonuses such as the Mirror Mode and Hard Missions. To find out all about the differences between these versions and all their respective features, head on over to the game’s official site.
