Gearing up to be one of the most successful indie games of 2020, Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout continues to prove its worth. With over millions of daily players on both Steam and PlayStation, the race-style battle royale has really taken off. Even going so far as to include many references and collaborations with other video game brands and icons, the customization has never been better. Thanks to multiple collaborations with various Valve properties and other notable figures in video game culture, Mediatonic is always looking for new inclusions to turn into bean caricatures.
With so many characters to cosplay as the developer’s recent crossover brings Sonic to the falling action, thanks to SEGA’s 60th anniversary. Announced on their official Twitch stream, Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout teams up with SEGA to bring a new Sonic costume to fall guys later this week.
Sonic fits right in amongst so many great crossovers like Gordon Freeman from Half-Life and even a full banana suit for My Friend Name Pedro. It’s great to see so much effort put into the overall look of the character stretched out over the giant bean body of a fall guy. Still, his design and presence are all retained in the iconic red shoes and blue quills of Sonic’s hedgehog stature.
While the new costume is a great addition, it falls in line with other crossover prices putting Sonic’s likeness at a high value. Costing 10 crowns, 5 for top and bottom pieces, fans will definitely have to grind some wins for their favorite blue blur. The team over at Mediatonic hasn’t stopped with their support and amazing additions to keep the game fresh and new for all types of players.
