SMITE Reveals Newest God Ishtar, Goddess of Love and War

Ishtar, Babylonian Goddess of Love and War is descending soon on the battleground of the Gods. Ishtar will release in SMITE on August 23rd as confirmed on the game’s official website. An iconic Goddess within the Babylonian Pantheon with many titles and responsibilities. This is one huntress that won’t rest as her burning passion takes her from one conquest to the next.

Ishtar, in SMITE, is a huntress that benefits from her own ability to attack strategically. She gains small buffs with her passive, Mark Of Vengeance and in synergy with her first ability, Imbue Arrows, she can be quite devastating. Not only this, but her AoE damage potential is quite frightening. From the sounds of it, she’ll be brilliant not only in one-on-one combat situations but also during bigger team fights. This Goddess will most definitely be playable not only as an ADC but in the solo lane, too.

Lore-wise, Ishtar has many different layers of importance. Queen of Heaven. Mistress of Love and War. There are many tales about her, many differing quite drastically. In some, she has numerous lovers, in others, she merely seeks battle and war. In SMITE, Ishtar will play a large role in the upcoming Odyssey: Soaring Isles Event. It will be interesting to see where they take this legendary Goddess in terms of her story.
