Six more fighters join the Tekken 7 roster in the latest character showcase trailer. Of the six, there is one new character to the series, though at least one of the old characters has undergone some major plastic surgery.
The trailer begins by introducing us to the newest character to the Tekken series, Master Raven. Master Raven is the game's first black female character, and she looks amazing. Covered in either sci-fi ninja armor, or possibly the result of cybernetics, Master Raven mixes beauty and power to make for a voluptuous, fierce, and powerful fighter. Following her are three characters pulled from the Tekken 5 era: Sergei Dragunov, Emilie "Lili" De Rochfort, and Asuka Kazama. From Tekken 6 comes Eleonor "Leo" Kliesen. However, of the returning fighters, the one that stands out the most is no doubt Yoshimitsu (pictured above).
Yoshimitsu has always been the odd, yet cool, looking one of the Tekken cast, ever since the first Tekken game. In Tekken 7, the intimidating and interesting fighter has gone all out. He now resembles less of a masked warrior, and more of an alien or Eldritch monster. Tentacles lash out across his body and head, and his armor, assuming that is just armor, looks to be showing off exposed muscle. Yoshimitsu has always been a favorite of mine in the Tekken series, and this is a new look I can get behind.
Tekken 7 has been out for a couple of years, now, in Japanese arcades, but the entire world will be getting the game on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on June 2nd, 2017.

For me the best of the saga is by far the third opus. But this one remains entertaining even if necessarily with this marketing policy most new games, including this one, do not come out completely to leave space thereafter to DLC. It is not Namco Bandai that is to be blamed but rather to the consumer who does nothing to change the situation.
