Six Berlin Major: Start Dates, Teams, and Grand Finals

Ubisoft has announced Rainbow Six: Siege's second Major of the year and they chose Berlin as the city that will host the event. The Major will commences from August 15 to 21, and the venue chosen is the Theater am Potsdamer Platz.

The 2022 August Major of Rainbow Six: Siege is official, following after the massive backlash from the community to shift the August Major from UAE, Ubisoft has finally decided on a new country to hold the event: Berlin, Germany.

Six Berlin Major will feature 16 teams from the four regions and will compete to win $500,000 and the Six Major trophies. The Major will also have a live audience during the Playoffs and the Grand Final, and the fans can purchase tickets ranging from Gold Ticket up to the Champions Ticket, which you can access on the Ticketmaster website.

Four Regions, Sixteen Teams, and One Winner

Six Berlin Major will follow the Four Double Round Robin format for its Group Stage matches, while the Playoffs will follow the Single-Elimination bracket. 

All 16 teams have secured their spots for the Berlin Major, with the last 2 spots being filled after the fierce last Playday of the European League.

Six Berlin Major kicks off on August 15 with Group Stage matches and will end on August 17. The matches will not be open to the public, so there won’t be a live audience during this period. 

Media Day will be the agenda for August 18, meaning that the teams won’t have any matches for the day, but they will partake in promotional events planned by Ubisoft.

The Playoffs, which will include the Quarter-Finals and the Semifinals, will commence on August 19 and 20. These matches will be open to the public, so the fans who bought the ticket can view their favorite team’s matches live.

The Grand Final

Six Berlin Major’s Grand Final is scheduled for the event’s final day on August 21. One team from the Upper Bracket will face the other team from the Lower Bracket. The winner will net themselves $200,000 and 375 SI Global Points, which will help them qualify for the Six Invitational 2023.

The event will be streamed across multiple R6Esports’ official accounts, mainly through Youtube and Twitch
