During the most recent SEGA Fes in Japan, it was announced that Shenmue 1 and 2 will be coming to PS4,
XBOX ONE and PC (no word on the Switch). Apparently there will be a few improvements, however visually, the games will remain the same since they are not remasters but merely ports. This does beg the question however, what improvements do they have in mind? Are they talking about the natural improvements that come from playing an older game on newer and more powerful hardware?
Hopefully not! Let's hope that the games have more to offer than what one would find from an emulator, otherwise there will be no point purchasing the things! While there is no information as to whether or not the game will be released physically or digitally only, it will most likely be the latter. The ports are most likely due to the fact the Shenmue 3 release date is approaching imminently!
