Sony surprised the gaming media at E3 by announcing a remaster of cult-classic Shadow of the Colossus. It was revealed that Bluepoint Games is the developer behind the remaster of one of Studio Japan's greatest games and game of the year recipient. The game is reported to be coming on 2018 with very few details given as to the improvements to be included. Fans of the game might remember that the controls were a little weak, if that is fixed along with the new improved resolution and performance it could end up becoming the definitive version to have. Check out the trailer just below.

So sad. It looked like a sequel but, apparently, the game now has to be released every gen with upgrades. The real reason Sony doesn’t want BC, because then they can do these type of things every gen.

Well if they fix the controls and perhaps add some of the bosses cut off from the final game, it could be the best version of an already awesome game. Hard to make a sequel for this one anyways.

Sadly, director of the game confirmed no new content.

He calls it a remake, but in the sense that they are taking the old assets, and making completely new ones, identical to the original. So, prettier game. With a new control scheme.
Its not a bad announcement. But I already played the remaster for ps3 a few years ago. Hard to be too excited for this, unless you missed the PS3 remaster.

Yes but do you remember the controls? I originally played the game on ps2 and then about 2 or 3 years ago on PS3. It still felt epic but the controls were very bad and very outdated. Being one of my favorite games of all time. I’ll gladly take the version with good controls and better visuals any day.
