Second Diablo II: Resurrected Ladder Season Starts on October 6

Season 2 will have the players starting fresh again as they race to 99. However, there is a new journey awaits for them as they reach to the endgame stage. Some of these new features can possibly change the endgame loop for Diablo 2 and many more players will be able to have a chance to experience the level 99 grind.

Second Diablo II: Resurrected Ladder Season Starts on October 6

Fans of Blizzard’s beloved action-role playing game will no longer have to wait when is the next ladder season coming. Just like the previous season which began on April 28, there will be new content provided.

Season one included new runewords which allowed Diablo 2 fans to craft and help them reach their potential endgame builds. Season two will deliver more.

There is a brand new endgame content called Terror Zones. This is designed to give the fans a new and exciting way to reach to level 99.

Reaching to level 99 has never been an easy task in Diablo 2, but it is also very repetitive. “We want to offer an alternative to repeatedly farming Baal, Diablo, or Nihlathak,” Blizzard stated.

The way Terror Zones work is every hour, the game will decide a location and terrorize them. What happens when an area is terrorized, the monsters’ level will be higher than the player; giving them more experience and better loot.

Terror Zones will be compatible through all the difficulties of Diablo 2.

There are many areas within the game that can be terrorized. Some of them will be popular farming zones like The Secret Cow Level or The Chaos Sanctuary. But areas that aren’t commonly farmed can also be terrorized like Far Oasis or Tal Rasha’s Tombs.

On top of that, killing terrorized monsters can drop an exclusive item called Sundering Charms. These charms will allow players to break monsters’ resistances, but they also lose resistances while having them in their inventory.

There are six of them and they will be considered as unique grand charms. These charms can only be dropped by terrorized Champion, Unique, Superunique, or Boss type of monsters.

Terror Zones will only be in the Ladder and Non-ladder realms. Single player users will not be getting supported, and Sundering Charms can only be acquired in the next ladder season.

This content update will also be exclusive to the Resurrected version of Diablo 2. The original version of Diablo 2 and its expansion, Lord of Destruction, will not be affected.
