Saints Row: The Third Remastered Gets a Release Date and Trailer

After its existence was leaked by Korean ratings board, Saints Row: The Third Remastered has been officially announced by Volition and Deep Silver. According to a newly released trailer, the game will release on May 22nd, contain graphical enhancements and be bundled with all previously released DLC.

A few days ago, KeenGamer reported that open world crime sandbox Saints Row: The Third will likely be getting a remaster for current generation consoles. More concrete information about the remaster was revealed today in a trailer released by Volition and Deep Silver. According to the trailer, Saints Row: The Third Remastered will launch on May 22nd for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The trailer also shows graphical enhancements that will come with the remaster, including enhanced lighting, graphics and visual effects. In addition, it will come bundled with all previously released DLC. 

Released in 2011 for the Xbox 360 and PS3, Saints Row: The Third‘s over-the-top antics set it apart from other crime sandboxes. A Nintendo Switch port of the game released in 2019. According to a report by IGN, Saints Row: The Third Remastered will be developed by Spearsoft under the direction of the original development team at Volition. For fans of the series, this is a welcome announcement. Saints Row: The Third was a watershed moment for the franchise, giving gamers a solid alternative to Grand Theft Auto at the height of its popularity.
