Yes, another rumor surrounding Resident Evil 8 has arrived. Veteran leaker AestheticGamer, AKA Dusk Golem, posted on Twitter about the development process of Resident Evil: Revelations 3, which transformed into RE8 and will release as a cross-gen title in 2021. As the Twitter and ResetEra user was right about RE3 Remake, but missed his target on Silent Hill and other titles in the past, take the rest of this article with a grain of salt, or a few pinches if you are that suspicious.
Okay, so the little game is done. This will be breaking this month with more details later not by myself, but I've needed to clear some stuff up. "Resident Evil 2021" is Resident Evil 8, but it wasn't always RE8. During most of its development it existed as Revelations 3.

Testing on Revelations 3 was supposedly going well. The Twitter thread goes on about how the game was being well received by the testers and members of the development team. The title got an extra year of work, which led to it turning to the followup to 2017’s Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
At the end of January, we reported a Resident Evil 8 rumor will be in the first person and will have players in the shoes of Ethan from Biohazard again. The video from Residence of Evil, which started up these rumors, is below for your viewing pleasure.
“The Ambassador leaks about Werewolves and Ethan in a Snowy Village are 100% true, but they’re outdated info,” reads the Twitter thread. “The game has been going through some huge changes to make it more like a ‘mainline’ title, big changes to the story, characters, etc. So specifically what you’ve heard may not be fully true in the final, but a number of elements remain.”
As the werewolves and other elements could see an introduction in Capcom’s iconic franchise, the previous rumor of Resident Evil 8 did suggest a ghostly woman following you. While Dusk Golem does not mention her, he goes into hallucinations and dealing with sanity loss while playing, which is very reminiscent of Amnesia.
He hints at more details, but decides to let the announcement happen naturally. The user suggests getting an official word from Capcom could happen this month, but is unsure. That speculation came strictly from E3 getting closed down this year due to the coronavirus. It is possible since there will not be an E3 this year, but with Resident Evil 3 Remake releasing only recently, it may not happen for a few weeks if the rumor happens to be true. Either way, we will all keep our eyes wide open for anything coming out of the Japanese developer and publisher.
