NetherRealm consistently puts out crossover characters into its games. The rumor comes from an e-mail obtained by IGN makes it seem that Bruce Campbell’s cult classic hero Ash Williams from the Evil Dead movies might be coming to Mortal Kombat 11.

The e-mail shows an image (seen below) of the DLC characters with the various IP owners and trademarks. You can see Joker, Terminator, Spawn, and Ash from Army of Darkness, the third film in the original series of the Evil Dead films directed by Sam Raimi.

A datamine back in April revealed that Joker, Terminator, and Spawn would appear in the latest entry in the iconic fighting title. As we know now, with those characters being playable, those leakers hit the nail on the head. One part of that leak was the Evil Dead protagonist, who NetherRealm still has not confirmed yet. This does seem to back up this reoccurring rumor of Ash appearing in Mortal Kombat 11. Do take this information with a grain of salt as the dataminers got somethings right but could have missed a detail. It is best to wait until we get word from the developer.
