Removed Right Stuf Anime Hentai After Purchase by Crunchyroll

The Crunchyroll streaming service has acquired Right Stuf, one of the most legendary manga and anime publishers on the market. Unfortunately for a good part of their fans, Right Stuf anime hentai content has magically disappeared. A snap of the fingers and it's all gone.

The operation came almost by surprise and it’s expected that it will have a strong impact on the manga and anime market. However, this was not expected to happen. Crunchyroll wants to keep its catalog clean and that’s why it recommends making hentai purchases at another store: Ero Anime Store. Now, derivatively affected businesses, such as Fakku, talk about how problematic the situation is.

There are three important pieces that have a role in this story. First: Crunchyroll. As the leader of anime streaming after merging with Funimation in March, they have established themselves in a heroic way. Second: Right Stuf, a legendary distributor that has been publishing and selling anime and manga since the days of mail order. And third: Fakku, a distributor of adult content that collaborated with Right Stuf for the distribution of hentai.

Fakku’s CEO, Jacob Grady, has shown his discontent with the situation. Both Fakku and Right Stuf had worked very hard to get hentai to more people, so Grady is disappointed with the situation.

He may not have liked the way Crunchyroll has redirected traffic to the Ero Anime Store without having a word with them either. From Fakku they say that they will be happy that their content is available in any online store, including the Ero Anime Store, but, at the same time, they recognize that there will never be any place that has as good a position as Right Stuf.

A statement from Ero Anime Store informs that they will continue to sell all previously available adult products, from games to anime, manga or figures. They will also continue to work with the Critical Mass Video Label. More information will be revealed soon. Now anime fans fear that, with its newfound power and leadership position, Crunchyroll will continue to be selective and limit its catalog to a certain set of anime content.

Fakku remembers that its products can be purchased within its own website. In any case, many users have the feeling that the world of manga and anime in the west has gone back several decades to the past, when hentai was persecuted as the enemy in a witch hunt.
