Remedy’s creative director Sam Lake confirmed the existence of Remedy Connected Universe and confirmed that Control‘s Alan Wake DLC would be followed by another game in this universe.
The screening of the second DLC for Control named AWE (Altered World Event) was held during State of Play on August 6th – afterward, Remedy shared details about the upcoming DLC, including new gameplay mechanics.
The other day, a presentation was made by the Remedy’s creative director Sam Lake. He confirmed the existence of Remedy Connected Universe – a shared universe for most games of the studio, and in particular for Alan Wake and Control.
And according to him, DLC AWE is just a first official crossover that ties together both games. Sam Lake also said that Remedy is already working on a new game set in the same universe.
AWE is to be released on August 27th on each platform at the same time. In addition, Remedy is also working on the shooter CrossfireX single campaign, scheduled for release in 2020 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
