Ranked Mode has been delayed and other Overwatch news
Today’s Overwatch news include the delay of the Ranked Play, the eventual changes coming to McCree and D.Va, and lastly the improvements to the Highlights system. Le’ts start with the anticipated Ranked Mode. It has been cut by Blizzard at the end of the Beta. At that time, the developer said that is was done to improve the game mode based on the valuable feedback received from the competitive players. Recently, Overwatch‘s Game Director Jeff Kaplan has shared through the Twitter conversation that the Ranked Play will be delayed (hopefully) until mid-late July.

Another Blizzard employee, Principle Designer Geoff Goodman, has suggested that the development team might change McCree and D.Va:
“McCree’s flashbang plays an important role in being a strong option against very fast/agile teams. That said, it’s probably a bit too good at dealing damage to higher health targets such as Tanks and barriers. I don’t have any concrete changes yet, but I’m going to be testing some things internally to see how he plays.”
”D.Va’s damage is definitely on the lower side, much like Winston’s. They are this way for a similar reason: They’re both very mobile and hard to kill. That said, I do think there is some room for some D.Va improvements.”

Lastly, Jeff Kaplan shared the plans to improve the Highlights system in Overwatch in the post at the official forums.
