Ubisoft has made several important announcements regarding the future of one of their most important titles in the shooter genre, as Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Year Six will be bringing in some new skins for its players to choose from, inspired by outfits from Resident Evil and Rick & Morty characters.

More specifically, during last night’s live stream event for Rainbow Six Siege Year Six, a new outfit was teased for one of the playable characters Zofia, that drew heavy inspiration from Resident Evil‘s main character Jill Valentine.

Additionally, it was teased that there may be a crossover event between Rainbow Six Siege and the Rick & Morty TV series sometime in the future as the trademark green vortex made its appearance near the end of the show.

To cap off the announcements regarding new outfits, it was also made known that one of the icons to come out of E3 2019, Ikumi Nakamura, is also creating some items for the main characters.

ATTACKER FLORES AND GONNE – 6 SECONDARY WEAPON

Apart from the skins and future collaborations, however, there were some other announcements made by Ubisoft during the Rainbow Six Siege Year Six event.

Most notable among them was introducing the new character Flores, an Argentinian openly gay (the first LGBT operator in the shooter) attacker who comes with four special drones full of explosives. He has access to two primary weapons -the AR33 or the SR-25- but only one secondary, the GSh-18.

He will be introduced in season one of year six, with the roadmap showing details about the other characters to be introduced in the following three seasons: one will be from Nakoda, in the third season there will be a Croatian operator and finally, in the fourth, an Irish operator will be introduced into the game.

Rainbow Six Siege Year Six’s first season will also see attackers gain access to a brand new secondary weapon called the Gonne-6. The gun has the ability to destroy defender gadgets in only a single shot. Here are all the other most notable announcements made during last night’s Rainbow Six Siege Year Six event:

  • Border Rework
  • Match Replay
  • Reworks on Operators
  • Reworks on Bulletproof Cams (coming in season 2)
  • Reduced Downtime
  • Tweaks to Armor and Health
