Are you up for some fast speeds, cool rides with a bit of shooting mixed in? If the answer is “yes”, then you’ll be happy to know that the Epic Store has you covered with two free games: one AAA title as well as a sweet indie one. One offer is the eccentric Rage 2, and the other is the elegant Tokyo, uh, I mean Absolute Drift. Both games will be available until the 25th of February, so be sure to grab them while the offer stands.
Rage 2 is definitely the more popular (and lucrative) title of the two offers. While it did not live to the hype, the game can still offer plenty of fun and action. You are thrown in a crazy post-apocalyptic world, Mad Max-style, where you will fight raiders, mutants and all other sorts of wackos. As in the aforementioned movie, you will have a vehicle at your disposal, which will help you explore the open world. You will pick up upgrades for said vehicle and can obtain different skills for yourself as well. Expect lots of shooting, racing and bright neon visuals.
If you are not in a shooty-shooty mood and desire something less stressful, you can give Absolute Drift a try. As the title suggests, it is all about making smooth turns and raking points while doing it. While Rage 2 has in-your-face aesthetics, Absolute Drift offers clean, minimalist visuals and design, which adds to the overall chill experience. Not to mention it is far less taxing on your PC, so even people with less powerful machines can run it. The game has addicting gameplay, lots of challenges to tackle and leaderboards that can bring some competitive edge to the experience.
