After it's release on the 23rd of March 2017, PUBG has become massive success across the steam community. Thanks to a boost in popularity from the well-renowned streaming site Twitch and YouTubers such as the Yogscast the game has now sold over four million copies worldwide.
The game, which is published by Bluehole Studios, first hit one million sales on April 10th of this year [2017] and then three million copies in early May. With sales still at a high, Creative Director of PUBG, Brendan Greene, took to twitter to officially confirm the good news.
Since it's release, PUBG has remained one of the top selling games on Steam, as well as one of the top five most streamed games on Twitch. Furthermore, PUBG is to come to the Xbox One (announced at E3) as part of a deal Bluehole Studios has undertook with Microsoft – with additional funding the game is more likely to exit the early access stage sooner than first anticipated. Weekly updates of the game are set to continue as well as large-scale monthly patches and fixes.
