Though the PlayStation 4 Pro isn’t out until November 10th, some developers have already begun releasing patches for it today.
Warner Bros Interactive’s Shadow of Mordor and Bethesda Softworks’ The Elder Scrolls Online have both seen patches released, claiming to utilize the extra hardware power of PlayStation 4 Pro to render at 4K resolution, or offer visual upgrades at native 1080p resolution. Patch notes for the former game can be found below:
The Elder Scroll Online's patch notes are as follows:
1. 4k Mode– This includes all of the graphical features available on the original PlayStation®4, and the game is scaled to 4k resolution.
– This is the default when the PS4 Pro is hooked up to a display that supports 4k resolution.2.1080p Enhanced Mode– This includes all of the graphical features available on the original PlayStation®4, and also includes the following graphical enhancements:
– Ambient occlusion
– Water reflections
– Improved shadow fidelity
Other games that will receive PlayStation 4 Pro forward compatibility updates include Fallout 4, NBA 2K17, Paragon, Thumper, The Witness, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, FIFA 17, inFamous First Light, The Last of Us Remastered, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
The PS4 Pro will retail for $399.
