Possible Injustice 3 Tease With New Artwork

Bosslogic has posted a tease for Injustice 3 with some artwork. Due to the user's history of making official artwork for games, it does make this a strong possibility of coming true. The teaser image suggests the game could feature characters from Watchmen.

Possible Injustice 3 Tease With New Artwork

Make sure you have some grains of salt as we have something that could or could not be something major. Twitter user Bosslogic (Nikolai Baslajik) has posted up a little tease for Injustice 3 with his own artwork and tagged NetherRealm Studios’, Ed Boon.

The image, which you can see through the tweet below, is a stylized clock with some Watchmen references, like the iconic smiley face pin in the distance. The clock itself also stirs up thoughts that Watchmen could pop up in the third installment of the DC fighting game.

The reason this is reportable news despite being someone’s fan art is that Baslajik has done official artwork for other games. Recently, he has created something for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Street Fighter. For Ubisoft’s latest assassin filled adventure, the artist got to make an image to promote the official debut trailer.

August 22 is  DC’s upcoming Fandome event, where we could possibly see an official announcement from NetherRealm. One reason that is holding this back is that back in June, Boon told Geoff Keighley that the studio has something else cooking outside of its main franchises, so maybe we won’t have another game where Superman can beat the hell out of the Joker.

It would not be a stretch to have the Justice League face off with the Watchmen. NetherRealm has been known to have some wild crossovers with Mortal Kombat and Injustice. In Injustice 2, Hellboy and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have made an appearance.
