Pokémon TCG Expansion “Fusion Strike” Introduces New Battle Mechanic in November 2021

A new battle mechanic is coming to the Pokémon Trading Card game with the upcoming expansion "Fusion Strike." With a stunning purple and pink color scheme featuring Mythical Pokémon Mew, this new release will also introduce Fusion Strike Style moves, a continuation of the mechanic overhaul that began with "Battle Styles."

Pokémon TCG Expansion The Pokémon Company has been working hard this year to introduce new and interesting twists to the decades-long trading card game. On November 12, 2021, Trainers will (hopefully) be able to grab the latest expansion set, “Fusion Strike” from the Sword & Shield card line.

Featuring everybody’s favorite Mythical Pokémon, Mew, “Fusion Strike” showcases the power of friendship with “Fusion Strike Style,” a new form of card that provides extra support to Pokémon denoted with a Fusion symbol. These will come in the form of Trainer cards, Special Energy cards, and Fusion Style Pokémon. There aren’t a ton of details available on just what sorts of abilities and buffs we’ll see in the Fusion Strike Style cards, but it’s safe to say that they will be spread wide enough to allow for some creative deck building.

Pokémon Trading Card Game: Sword & Shield – Fusion Strike will be available worldwide on November 12, 2021, for your regional pricing.
