As the season of Fall begins, September rolls out a whole season of Pokémon Go! Starting with a whole new batch of Pokémon from the Paldea region, the game has been pumping new content daily ever since then. From increased stardust rates to new moves, the new “Adventures Abound” season is off to a great start!

Speaking of new features, Pokémon Go has a new batch of Raid bosses lurking within nearby gyms. These quirky creatures constantly change weekly starting at 10:00 AM local time, so keep your eyes out for ones that you’ll definitely would want to collect. With that said, this article lists out details regarding Pokémon Go raid content in September.

Four-Star Mega Raids

The Mega-evolved forms of Gardevoir and Manectric make their spectacular return for trainers throughout the breezy month of September! In fact, their types consist of the Psychic/Fairy-type for Gardevoir, and Electric-type for Manectric. Both Pokémon are known to have originated from the Hoenn region, each one possessing an unique array of powers.

Trainers are particularly eager to defeat one of these Mega Pokémon, as doing so provides a ton of rewards. These include high CP, valuable Mega Energy, Rare Candies, High Potions, Berries, and even a rare chance to obtain a Shiny variant as well! Despite the small number this month, Gardevoir and Manectric are certainly ones that a trainer must obtain in Pokémon Go.

  • Mega Manectric (Electric): September 1 – September 16
  • Mega Gardevoir (Psychic/Fairy): September 16 – October 6

Five-Star Legendary Raids

As per usual five-star Legendaries in Pokémon Go, a vast select have started showing up more often at various gyms like any other Raid Pokemon. Trainers are looking forward to encountering these enigmatic creatures, as some of them are old returning fan-favorites. Encountering them presents an exciting opportunity to obtain them upon beating them with many other enthusiastic trainers. 

Starting off, we have an Ultra Beast duo, featuring Celesteela (Steel/Flying) and Kartana (Grass/Steel). Unlike the other four Legendaries this month, there will be a weekly rotation between hemispheres exclusive to those two. From September 1st to 8th, the regions consist of the Northern Hemisphere for Kartana, and Southern Hemisphere for Celesteela. There is also a Raid Hour for both on September 6th and September 13th respectively. These will later be swapped during the second week of September. Be sure to catch these Ultra Beasts before they vanish once again!

In the later weeks, the bidepal Legendary Genesect and the Johto Legendary dogs will also be showing up in Fall. This time, Genesect returns with a fiery Burn Drive that unleashes devastating Fire-type attacks, and an Raid Hour event on September 20th. As for the Johto Legendary dogs, all three share the same raid hour on September 27th, so feast your eyes for their roaming whereabouts. Down below lists the dates they all specifically appear on.

  • Burn Drive Genesect (Bug/Steel): September 16 – September 23
  • Raikou (Electric): September 23 – October 6
  • Entei (Fire): September 23 – October 6
  • Suicune (Water): September 23 – October 6
