Pokémon: Galarian Meowth Mystery Gift Begins June 12

Game Freak has been more than generous in the weeks leading up to the Pokémon Sword & Shield Expansion Pass release. Trainers have received three highly useful Pokémon already, and the fourth arrives on Friday, June 12. Galarian Meowth is sure to aide players with the trials and tribulations of The Isle of Armor, and the bonus items that accompany it are even better!

Galarian Meowth Mystery Gift

Pokémon Sword and Shield and Game Freak are about to hit the final stretch of their month-long Mystery Gift bonanza. The giveaway kicked off on May 22 and the final Mystery Gift arrives on Friday, June 12. Players will be able to collect a Galarian Meowth that possesses its Hidden Ability, Unnerve. The Steel-type Pokémon isn’t the only gift, though. Trainers will also have the chance to obtain 50 Big Nuggets and 100 Exp. Candies L.

Meowth and Tons of Pokémon Money

This is the Mystery Gift you want. Galarian Meowth is a cool Pokémon, but, to be fair, it doesn’t move the needle compared to the event’s bonuses. To explain, 50 Big Nuggets, when sold at a Pokémart, is valued at 1 million Pokémon Dollars. 1 Million! Likewise, 100 Exp. Candies L equates to 1 million Exp. points. Congrats, we are all about to very rich and have level 100 Pokémon.

To be fair, Galarian Meowth is a competent Pokémon in battle. Its Steel-typing is a refreshing twist and its evolution is quite formidable. Perrserker keeps the Steel-typing and boasts powerful attack and defense stats. 110 and 100, respectively.

The massive haul of Big Nuggets and Exp. Candies L isn’t happenstance. The event runs from June 12 until June 16, and then on June 17? The Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass. That means returning players can fill their Pokémon wallets and level-up any Pokémon they plan on using in the Pokémon Sword and Shield DLC. The Isle of Armor better be ready!
