MLB The Show 21 will be available on Xbox Game Pass when the game releases on April 20th.
The baseball franchise is still developed by Sony San Diego and a PlayStation Studios game, so the new title launching into Xbox Game Pass will come as a huge surprise to many.
“We’re delighted to announce that MLB The Show 21 is coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one and will be available on April 20 for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, as well as on Android phones and tablets via Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) for Ultimate members”, Jamie Leece, MLB Senior Vice President, Games and VR said.
The Show 21 is the first entry of the franchise to arrive on Xbox, which was revealed in February. In the initial announcement, San Diego Studio confirmed cross-platform play and progression alongside the new next-gen experience.
There is still hope for Nintendo fans that MLB may come to the Switch since this multi-platform flip is happening. The official Nintendo Twitter account retweeted the announcement from 2019 that the game would be going multi-platform.
