Considering it was leaked a few weeks ago, the announcement of November's free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers shouldn't be too surprising. In a video on the official PlayStation channel, Sony have confirmed that Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition and Yakuza Kiwami 1 will headline November's PS Plus goodies.
Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is a remaster of People Can Fly's wild FPS from 2011. You'll play as Grayson Hunt, a notorious space pirate who finds himself stranded on a dangerous planet filled with mutants, monsters and his old enemy, General Serrano. Armed with a multitude of different and unique firearms, an energy leash and a boot that kicks people in to slow motion. You'll blast, slide and kick your way to survival with a unique system that rewards experimental and crazy ways to kill your enemies. It's a blast of a game that didn't find its audience at the time but I think it still holds up.
Alongside Bulletstorm is another fantastic title, Yakuza Kiwami. A complete remake of the original Yakuza from 2005. Yakuza Kiwami features the forever scowling Kazuma Kiryu. Recently freed from prison after taking the blame for a murder to protect his friends, Kiryu returns to Kamurocho and finds his former Yakuza clan is in shambles and a mysterious young girl might be the key to averting disaster. Last year I fell completely in love with the Yakuza franchise after playing Yakuza 0 and then Kiwami so I cannot recommend this game enough. Kiwami is an absolute riot of a game featuring an intriguing, slowly unraveling story served with a side of serious ass kicking.
Alongside the headline games, you'll also be able to download and play Burly Men at Sea and Roundabout for PS4, as well as Arkedo Series and Jackbox Party Pack 2 on PS3. PlayStation Plus free games are usually available from the first Tuesday of each month so Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition and Yakuza Kiwami should be free to download from the 6th of November.
