Playstation 5 Reveal Event Confirmed For Early June

Sony have been surprisingly tight-lipped about their newest console, allowing fans to speculate about potential launch titles and performance upgrades. The first details of the console were revealed in early 2019 and this year we were given reveals for both the DualSense wireless controller and Unreal 5 Engine. A multitude of games have been announced since then including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Godfall, and Paradise Lost.

We may be finding out a lot more about those games, as well as possible others, during the now confirmed reveal event on June 4th. There were rumours swirling about Sony showing off more of the PS5 in early June and Sony have confirmed these rumours in a recent blog post

In this blog post, Jim Ryan, President, and CEO of SIE confirms the date of the reveal event and talks about what kind of games we can expect to be playing after the PS5 hits store shelves:

Jim Ryan:
That’s why I’m excited to share that we will soon give you a first look at the games you’ll be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday. The games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe. Studios, both larger and smaller, those newer and those more established, all have been hard at work developing games that will showcase the potential of the hardware.
