PlayStation 5 Has Sold 10 Million WorldwideAs of July 18th, 2021, Sony has sold more than 10 million PlayStation 5 units globally, making it their fastest-selling console ever.

Despite being the company’s fastest-selling box ever, supply-demand has been a huge problem since its launch last November due to the pandemic.

“While PS5 has reached more households faster than any of our previous consoles, we still have a lot of work ahead of us as demand for PS5 continues to outstrip supply,” said Sony Interactive Entertainment president and CEO Jim Ryan.

“I want gamers to know that while we continue to face unique challenges throughout the world that affect our industry and many others, improving inventory levels remains a top priority for SIE,” he continued.

Sony has also today announced sales figures for its exclusive launch window games. Spider-Man Miles Morales, from Insomniac, has sold 6.5m copies. Fellow Insomniac game, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart has sold 1.1m copies since its release last month.
