Play Mortal Kombat X on Xbox For Free This Weekend

Mortal Kombat 11 is one of the most anticipated games of 2019. It's been four years since we last stepped into the ring and it looks to be even bloodier than last time. However, some people might need a refresher before stepping back into the world of MK.

Play Mortal Kombat X on Xbox For Free This Weekend
If you're an Xbox One Gold Member, we have some good news for you. You can now play Mortal Kombat X for free this weekend, until Sunday at midnight. When it was first released, Mortal Kombat X was met with high praise for its numerous improvements over the 2011 reboot of the franchise. It was even named best fighting game at the 2015 Game Awards.

It should be noted that this is the Vanilla version of Mortal Kombat X, so you won't be getting any of the various DLC characters. You'll have to purchase them separately or buy Mortal Kombat XL, which is currently on sale for less than $20 on Xbox One.

So, whether you're a returning veteran wanting to brush up on their skills or a first-time noobie, it's the perfect time to get schooled in Mortal Kombat with Mortal Kombat X. Plus, you can smack a guy's jaw off and take a selfie as Cassie Cage. What can be better than that?

Mortal Kombat 11 is set to release on April 19th, 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. For what we thought of Mortal Kombat X, check out our review.
