During the PS5 Future of Gaming event today, Ember Lab did a reveal of its upcoming title, Kena: Bridge of Spirits.
The upcoming title is a story-driven third-person experience revolving around Kena, a spirit guide, and small spirits called Rot. The Rot are elusive spirits that help keep balance in the world by decomposing and rotting. By finding Rot in the world, Kena will be able to improve abilities and change the world’s environment. Action will be fast-paced and requires Kena to help free trapped spirits so they can move on.
While helping the Rot, Kena will try to solve the mystery surrounding the destruction of her village and restore balance to a dying forest.
Ember Lab is a media studio behind several acclaimed short films, including Dust and Terrible Fate. The Kena: Bridge of Spirits reveal for PS5 is the studios’ first foray into the gaming medium.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be coming exclusively to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and the Epic Games Store in Holiday 2020.
