Rockstar Games have delayed the physical releases of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition to 17th December for PS4 and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch version has been delayed even further to “early 2022”. Boxed copies of the game were originally due out next week on the 7th of December.
Physical versions will be available to play on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S via backwards compatibility. Fans will not be surprised by the delay due to the countless problems that have surfaced with the remastered trilogy since it was released digitally in November.

Since launch, numerous updates have been added for the three games to remove bugs and improve performance. The most recent update, released yesterday, included improvements to textures issues, most notably lighting and rain. For several days, the game’s PC version was temporarily offline as Rockstar scrambled to remove private files.
