After the information leaked on Dealabs, Sony has confirmed via Twitter that from January 4 to 1 February 2022, PS Plus members will be able to claim Persona 5 Strikers. As reported by Persona Central, P5S will be available along with Deep Rock Galactic and Dirt 5 to PS Plus members in North America and Europe.
Persona 5 Strikers received positive reviews, praising the characters, story, and gameplay elements. If you’re a fan of the Persona series, or have been on the fence about diving in, this may be a great place to start. Overall, this is a great mix of games. PS Plus is starting out strong in 2022, with 3 very different but well-crafted titles. There is something for you here, even if you aren’t a Persona fan.
Dirt 5 released in November 2020 to a generally favorable critical reception. For racing fans who don’t have it yet, it might be worth claiming while you’re waiting for Gran Turismo 7. Developed and published by Codemasters following the well-regarded Colin McRae Rally series, and widely considered the definitive offroad racer, it might even be a good one to get if you aren’t a huge fan of racing.
As for the final title, Deep Rock Galactic, also enjoyed positive critique. This title is a 4 player co-operative first-person shooter. So think Left 4 Dead, but you’re a space miner extracting minerals from the depths of a most inhospitable planet. If blasting across dirt tracks at breakneck speeds doesn’t get your blood flowing, Deep Rock Galactic might do the trick – especially if you have a few friends to partner up with.
