Atlus announced during its livestream for the upcoming iteration in the Persona series Atlus's popular RPG Persona 5 that it will be delayed, and it will be released on April 4.

Atlus states, "the Japanese release of Persona 5 smashed all our expectations, and as a company, we decided that we owed our fans the very best effort to make Persona 5 our gold standard in localization. Practically, this means redoubling our QA and localization efforts, even returning to the studio to record previously unvoiced lines.” “We don't want to rush this game,” “And in this case, it meant we needed to move the release back for the last time.”

Along with this, it was announced that the game will offer the Japanese audio track as free DLC instead of doing a dual language audio, which I find very strange indeed. Why would you not have both the English and Japanese audio available right away it doesn't make sense.

They will also be offering a Take Your Heart Premium Edition, which contains along with the standard edition of the game a CD soundtrack, Morgana plush, a hardcover art book, a steelbook, and a school bag.

Persona 5 will be available on April 4, 2017, for the PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3. It was originally scheduled for February 14 but was delayed. The game, however, is available in Japan.
