The Patapon remaster for PS4 is the last of a wave of the PSP/PS Vita remasters announced to be coming to the PS4 on last year's PSX 2016. We currently have seen the release of the Loco Roco, PaRappa the Rapper and the Wipeout Omega Collection in the last few months with prices of $14.99 and $39.99 for the last one mentioned. The Patapon Remastered game is now listed to be releasing this Summer 2017. Unfortunately, there is no exact release date nor price although $14.99 is very likely. Be sure to check out the PlayStation LiveCast with Shuhei Yoshida just below.
The Patapon franchise launched exclusively on the PSP portable console. It had up to three entries that were all critically acclaimed. Patapon is a rhythm-based 2D platform/action game. You lead a group of Patapons against opposing armies and monsters. Rhythm beats are very integral to combat efficiency. This very unique type of gameplay will be enhanced visually to 4K and 1080p. Being that we are well into the summer, we will likely learn of the release date soon.
Are our readers looking forward to the Patapon remaster coming soon? Let us know.

Never played the originals. If true its $15, might pick it up a dry period of July or August.

I actually never played these myself either. It’s great they are given a second chance.
