On April 11th, Overwatch 2 Season 4 will release. With a new support hero joining the roster, the FPS’ first-ever Pride Event, an abundance of new skins, balance changes, including a Brigitte rework, and so much more. You won’t want to miss out on everything this season has to offer. With Lifeweaver, it’s definitely going to change up the game in ways we’ve never seen before.
New Hero and Events
With the launch of Overwatch 2 Season 4, Lifeweaver will be joining the hero roster. He’s a support hero with a knack for nature and creativity. With the ability to pull allies to safety, create moving platforms and even grow his own healing tree, he’ll no doubt change the meta this season.
Starting June 1st, the game’s first Pride Event will be starting, celebrating the diversity of our beloved heroes within the game’s universe. By the looks of the sneak peek, Midtown could be seeing a very slight change in its scenery for this event. Players should expect exclusive cosmetics such as skins, player icons and possibly charms.

Battle Pass and Competitive Updates
As always, new skin collections will be hitting the shop throughout the season. Expect to see the Starwatch Collection, inspired by outer space for the Battle Pass theme. Two limited-time challenges were revealed as well; one for Symmetra and one for Lifeweaver, featuring exclusive cosmetics.
In further exciting news, all maps will be playable in competitive as of Overwatch 2 Season 4, as opposed to only a selection per season. This will hopefully keep the game feeling fresh all season long. Balance changes include Brigitte’s rework of her ultimate ability, which looks very interesting, and Mercy‘s adjustments to her kit overall. There are some smaller changes, so head on over to the Overwatch Forum to see the patch notes.
That just about wraps things up. While there is plenty more to come that we don’t know of yet, this is still a lot to look forward to. If you haven’t already downloaded the game, it’s free-to-play, on all major platforms now.
