Official House of the Dragon Trailer has Dropped Cover

It’s time for Game of Thrones fans to celebrate. An official trailer for House of the Dragon has dropped on YouTube! The highly anticipated prequel to the critically acclaimed series, Game of Thrones, will air on HBO Max sometime in 2022. HBO has not provided an exact date yet. It’s been two years since Game of Thrones came to an end, so fans are eager for House of the Dragon.

Have a look at the official trailer below.

House of the Dragon is largely inspired by Fire & Blood by George R.R. Martin and takes place two hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones. A time when house Targaryen ruled over Westeros. Fans are very familiar with this family. Emilia Clarke portrayed Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones and she received several accolades for the role. A few Targaryens are shown in the official trailer, displaying their signature silver-blonde hair.

It’s exciting to see Valyria used as a setting. The Targaryens are originally from Valyria and they tamed many dragons there.

Dragons are notably absent from the official trailer. At the end, viewers can hear a distinct growl of what I presume to be a dragon. However, no dragons appear onscreen. Perhaps the next trailer will feature them!
