Nintendo Treehouse: Live to Focus on Splatoon 3 and Harvestella

Nintendo of America has announced that a Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentation will take place on August 25th. It will focus on Splatoon 3 and Harvestella, both new games that will be released later this year. The event will cover Splatoon 3 new single-player mode, its free-to-play demo, and Harvestella's gameplay.

Nintendo Treehouse Live to focus on Splatoon 3 and HarvestellaThe Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentations have become a top gaming event in the past years. Even if it hasn’t reached the importance of the annual Nintendo Direct, it is still quite relevant. This year, the live stream will focus on two unreleased games: Splatoon 3 and Harvestella. The stream will specifically focus on the gameplay elements of both games, revealing new information before their release.

The “live presentation” will take place on August 25, at 9:30 AM Pacific Time (or 12:30 PM Eastern Time). Also, Nintendo has revealed that it will tackle three main topics: the new Splatoon 3 single-player mode, Splatoon 3 demo premiere, and a Harvestella gameplay reveal.

Splatoon 3 single-player mode

Both previous games, Splatoon and Splatoon 2 had single-player modes in them, but Nintendo has aimed to add even more to the game. The company has stated that a brand new mode will be introduced. Although gamers mostly focus on Splatoon’s multiplayer modes, they also want to have fun by themselves.

Fans of the franchise have been calling for new single-player modes for some time now, and it seems that Nintendo is delivering. So, it seems that Octo Valley and Amiboo Challenges will not be the only single-player modes from now on.

Nintendo Splatfest World Premiere

The Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentations will also share more information on the August 27th Splatfest World premiere. Thus far, we know this will be a worldwide demo that players will be able to play for up to 12 hours (from 9 am to 9 pm local time)! But how will it work?

Players will need to choose one of three teams (rock, paper, or scissors) and try to win over the others. The demo will be divided into two parts: a classic turf war (a two-team 4 vs 4) and a brand new tricolor turf war battle (a three-team all-out battle). Nintendo will also provide new players with a playable tutorial (available from August 25) and will give everyone 26 iconic and new weapons for players to try out.

Harvestella gameplay reveal

This new fantasy-lifestyle RPG by Square Enix will be based on changing seasons, farming crops, battling enemies, and exploring mysteries. In this game, you will fish, make friends, and even battle Quietus, the season of death.

There are some trailers already out there, but Nintendo promises to release a new gameplay-focused showcase. Although the game will be available for PC through Steam, this trailer may show some essential notions.
