It was revealed today by Nintendo that people will be able to get their hands on Nintendo's upcoming gaming system the Nintendo Switch at a private event in New York on January 13, 2017.
The private event will take place the day after Nintendo's press release for the Nintendo Switch, which they are calling their Tokyo webcast, where we will learn of the console's games, price, and official release date.
It's interesting that people will be able to get their hands on earlier than expected, and also that this is happening after the press release, which is very exciting in itself. People here in the west will also be able to try the Switch before it's hands-on debut in February overseas at Game Party Japan, however the problem is that we still don't know what time the press release will start. I'm a bit disappointed that Nintendo didn't make that announcement when they announced this, because they both go hand in hand.
Nintendo Switch will be available in March 2017.
